Mum and Dad have been whispering a lot lately.

I thought they were planning a surprise for my birthday.

I was wrong.

I found out it wasn’t about my birthday at all.

It was about someone else’s.

I’d just got in from school, and I noticed Dad was home from work early, which was odd. He looked really serious – so when he said he and Mum had something to tell me, and Mum handed me a glass of coke (which I am not normally allowed) and a plate with THREE biscuits on it, I started to worry.

A humorous story about a boy who is going to become a big brother.
